SRIBS Hosted First Meeting on the Revision of Three National Standards

Recently, the first working meeting for revising three national standards—GB/T 33640 “Inspection of Installation Quality of Rack and Pinion Passenger and Material Construction Hoists”, GB/T 34025 “Rack and Pinion Safety Device for Construction Hoists”, and GB/T 36152 “Safety Assessment for Rack and Pinion Construction Hoists”—was successfully held in Shanghai.

The meeting was organized under the supervision of the National Technical Committee on Aerial Work Platform Standardization and led by the Shanghai Research Institute of Building Sciences Co., Ltd. (SRIBS).

Vice Chairman Tian Guangfan and Secretary-General Liu Shuang of SAC/TC 335, Zhao Rongxin, General Manager of SRIBS, Chen Aihua, Senior Chief Engineer, members of the standard drafting group, as well as experts from universities, inspection institutes, manufacturing enterprises, and testing organizations gathered to discuss the technical innovations and industry development needs involved in revising these standards.

The SRIBS drafting team provided a systematic overview of the three standards, covering the background and objectives of the revisions, drafting principles and procedures, and the main changes. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on the key content, further clarifying the drafting approach, revision details, and subsequent work plans. Moving forward, the drafting team will build on the consensus reached at the meeting to efficiently advance the revision process, supporting the safe and high-quality development of the construction industry.
