SRIBS renewed its strategic cooperation agreement with the College of Transportation Science and Engineering at the Civil Aviation University of China.
On October 15, 2024, SRIBS (Shanghai Research Institute of Building Science Co., Ltd.), along with its subsidiaries, the Engineering Consulting Company and Tianjin Consulting Company, renewed a strategic cooperation agreement with the College of Transportation Science and Engineering at the CAUC (Civil Aviation University of China). The signing ceremony was attended by Wang Jijie, Chairman of SRIBS, Wang Zhiqiang, Chairman of the Labor Union of the CAUC, and Wu Jindong, Party Secretary of the College of Transportation Science and Engineering.
The first round of strategic cooperation began in 2020, focusing on academic exchanges in areas such as the research and application of green durable materials and the digitalization of building health monitoring. Based on mutual agreement, the two parties will continue their collaboration, with an emphasis on green, low-carbon, safe, and resilient development as part of the second round of in-depth cooperation.
SRIBS, together with the Engineering Consulting Company and Tianjin Consulting Company, will collaborate with the College in broader fields, including scientific and technological innovation, project demonstration, and talent exchange. The aim is to support China’s airport construction and operation sectors by providing technical reserves and cultivating new talent.
During the signing ceremony, Wang Jijie expressed his gratitude for the university’s trust and support, highlighting SRIBS’s active participation in airport construction and operations across China. He noted the institute's work in developing and applying green airport technologies, promoting innovation in airport management and construction consulting, and overseeing overseas airport projects for Chinese enterprises. He emphasized that the renewed partnership would focus on creating a new hub for industry innovation, exploring a new model for industry-academia collaboration, and establishing a new base for diverse talent cultivation.
